Behind the Blog
I highly recommend checking out the blogs of all the people I’ve linked, they’re all awesome.
The creation of the Blog:
Several people deserve my thanks here. First and foremost, I’d like to thank Tam of Righteous Orbs. If it weren’t for his project of the Single Abstract Noun guild on Argent Dawn EU, I wouldn’t have been exposed to the massive Blog-o-Sphere that exists across the internet. Prior to this experience, I had been reading a few blogs here and there, always lurking (I’m not much of a commenter unless I feel something really needs to be said.) The reason I need to thank Tam, along with Elsen who pressured me into joining it in the first place, is that it made me aware of just how much there was out there, both in terms of bloggers and readers. The diversity shocked and amazed me. I felt then, if all these people can do it, so can I. So thank you, you two.
My next bit of thanks goes to Jaedia of the wonderful Lazy Sniper, who held my hand through the Word-press setup and answered my inane questions until I could stand my blog on its own… feet. Further thanks to her for all the comments, positive feedback and general friend support she’s given me throughout the time we’ve known each other. *hugs*
I feel the need to bring up Elsen again. She has been an amazing friend from the moment I met her, and remains my constant healing companion. Without the Yin and Ying of her HoTs and my direct heals, both our healings would suffer. Thanks bud.
Although she hasn’t a major internet presence to link to, I’d like to thank Riccah for her constant support and ideas for the blog. She was a great healing friend in Flames and wonderful company.
Why I write this Blog:
As I also mention in my Character History page, I felt there was a lack of resources out there for the very beginner to things. My aim was to write guides that were comprehensive and useful enough so that even a veteran WoW player could get something out of them, whilst still being accessible to the man on the street who’s only experience of gaming is the occasional game of Scrabble.
It’s also a marvellous way to vent the creative steam that bubbles away inside me. Ever since I was little, I’ve been writing creatively and at length. I’ve been using a computer since the age of two (100% true that) and have found typing things a marvellous way to get some of my ideas locked down. Through this blog, you see examples of long guides, rambling posts on my thoughts on various issues, and the occasional bit of creative story writing (which I love to do, but am always hesitant to do, because the WoW lore is so in-depth and there’s so much potential for it to go wrong.)
As of right now, I don’t have too many pulls on my time. This will change fairly soon, however for the moment, I’m free to update this most days. When reading, please be slightly forgiving. I am a tad Dyslexic, and whilst I do thorough rereads of my posts before sending them, forgive the occasional spelling or sense mistake. Feel free to point it out in a comment, preferably without a ‘lol’ attached to it. I try my best.

Comments saying things such as ‘Great post,’ ‘Awesome read, thanks!’ and ‘I agree with this a lot!’ are more than welcome, but I’m unlikely to actually reply to them unless you directly ask a question or similar. I’m still grateful for all comments received!
I sometimes do little pictures of Zal holding various signs or items to illustrate a point. I use the official armory ‘modelviewer’ and Photoshop CS3 to make these. For the many PC users out there, WoW Modelviewer does a good job too. A lot of screen-shots are from my day to day playing, just cropped and played around with. I’ve had a couple of comments on why my game looks so different, that’s just maximum WoW settings and a Levels balance in Photoshop.
